Located just south of Meridian near the Mississippi-Alabama state line, Clarkco State Park has been a favorite Mississippi recreation spot since 1938. Situated on 815 acres of gently rolling woodlands, Clarkco State Park offers camping, cabin rentals, and water sports in a convenient yet unspoiled location, providing the perfect retreat for an afternoon or weekend getaway.

Take I- 59 North to Pachuta EXIT 126, go RIGHT on HWY 18 East for 15 miles, turn LEFT onto HWY 145, go through Quitman and continue for another 5 miles, cross HWY 45, drive ¼ mile, Welcome to Clarkco State Park.
From Jackson:
Take I- 20 East to Meridian, take EXIT 153 on HWY 145 for 3 miles which will merge into HWY 45 South, or take EXIT 157A which is 4 lane HWY 45 South. Stay on HWY 45 South for 18 miles, until you come to the Quitman exit HWY 145, turn LEFT at intersection for ¼ mile, Welcome to Clarkco State Park.
From Tuscaloosa:
Take I- 20/59 to EXIT 157A, take HWY 145 South for 18 miles until the Quitman exit HWY 145, turn LEFT at intersection drive ¼ mile, Welcome to Clarkco State Park.
From Philadelphia:
Take HWY 19 South to Meridian, take I-20/59 East to EXIT 153 onto HWY 145 for 3 miles which will merge into HWY 45 South, Stay on HWY 45 South for 18 miles, until you come to the Quitman exit HWY 145, turn LEFT at intersection, drive ¼ mile, Welcome to Clarkco State Park.

Clarkco offers a 9 hole disc golf course.
A well-marked, five mile nature trail encircles Clarkco State Park, affording a close look at Mississippi flora and fauna. The trail is sectioned for shorter walks of less than a half-mile. There is an observation tower at the upper end of the lake. Bicycles are permitted as long as they yield to foot traffic.
Sixty picnic sites featuring tables, barbecue grills, and playground equipment are located in a shaded area surrounding Clarkco Lake. Three large picnic pavilions are available by reservation. The pavilions provide the ideal spot for company picnics, family reunions, and church and school outings. Kitchen facilities may be reserved for a fee.
Zero-depth cool water spray is splashing good fun for the entire family. The splash pad is operated seasonally and is open daily from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The splash pad is free however the normal day use entrance fee is charged.
A site for softball, baseball and other outdoor recreational activities is available.
Two lighted tennis courts are available for day or night play. There is also a basketball goal available.
The lodge houses the park office and a meeting room accommodating 100 people. Contact the park office at (601) 776-6651 for specific information on facilities, seating capacity, and fees. Ice and other items are available for purchase at the park office. An outdoor amphitheater located on the park grounds is available for use at no charge.
Clarkco Lake offers 65 acres of freshwater fishing and other water sports. A boat launch is available for persons with their own boats.
Clarkco Lake offers 65 acres of fresh water for fishing and water sports. The lake is stocked with bass, bream, and catfish. A Mississippi fishing license is required for all persons between the ages of 16 and 65. Licenses may be purchased at the park office.
Water skiing is permitted daily between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (limited to 115 HP).

Developed Camping 43 sites, Primitive Tent Camping 7 sites, Vacation Cabins 20 units, and 1 Vacation Cottage plus Laundry Facilities.
Forty-three sites are available for camping and feature picnic tables, grills, and electrical, water and sewer hook-ups. There are three bathhouses, two with hot showers and laundry facilities and a central sewage dumping station is located in the developed camping area.
Seven primitive tent camping sites are located just beyond the developed camping area. Each site features a picnic table, fire ring, and water is located nearby.
Clarkco State Park features twenty air-conditioned units accommodating two to eight persons, each furnished with bed and bath linens and features a view of Clarkco Lake and has a private pier on the water. Reservations are strongly recommended. No smoking is allowed in any Mississippi government facility. Cabins 6 and 14 are ADA accessible.

Clarkco State Park also features one cottage that will sleep four people. The cottage is equipped with two bedrooms and one bathroom. All state park facilities are Non-Smoking.
