BassBass fishing has seemed to slow down a bit over the past week, but both spotted and largemouth bass are still being caught. Anglers are using a variety of techniques. The smaller pockets and coves are where the fish seem to be right now. Try fishing in less than 8 feet of water with swim baits, spinner baits, jerk baits, and jigs. T-rigged soft plastics are also a good option.
CrappieCrappie fishing is fair to good, but a lot of the fish being caught are just under the 9" minimum length limit. Some fish are beginning to move up shallow for the spawn while others are still holding around some deeper cover, in about 10 - 12 ft of water. Jigs are workin gas well as anything.
CatfishTarget the old Mackey's Creek area at the north end of the lake and the canal above Crow's Neck. Tight lining cut/whole shad is the best technique to use. Look for the bite to be a little better around the culverts and run outs.
