McIvor Shooting Facility

A daily entrance fee of $15 is required to shoot. 

Summer Hours (starting March 1):
Thursday and Friday: Noon - 6:00pm
Saturday: 10am - 6:00pm
Sunday: 1:00 - 5:00pm

Winter Hours (typically start November 1):
Thursday and Friday: Noon - 5:00pm
Saturday: 10:00am - 5:00pm
Sunday: 1:00 - 5:00pm

In Panola County near Sardis, take the Highway 315 exit at Interstate 55, then travel west on 315 to Old Panola Road. Go south on Old Panola Road to Davis Chapel Road and go west to the facility entrance. The range is located approximately 30 miles from both Oxford and the Hernando-Southaven area of DeSoto County.  Find it on Google Maps.

12 and 20 gauge shotguns are now available to rent at all three MDWFP Shooting Facilities for $20.00 per day. Shotgun ammunition purchase is required with a shotgun rental. Call the range for ammunition prices. You must be 21 years old to rent or with a guardian 21 years or older.

All shooters must complete the Range Rules & Regulations documentation. In the new system, shooters only have to enter the required information and acknowledge once that the rules have been read and understood. It will no longer be required to do this annually.

Handgun classes, including the Enhanced Carry Permit Class, have been temporarily suspended but will resume sometime in the near future. Steve "Reno" Moore has retired, but he will return on a part-time basis beginning in September. At that time, he will resume teaching all three of our classes. We expect to keep the classes scheduled in their normal sequence, which means they'll be offered at McIvor on the first Tuesday and Wednesday of each month. So please stay tuned!

All classes start at 9:00am on their scheduled day and end at approximately 5:30 - 6:00pm.
